The economy is getting tough. Is your ad agency prepared for increasing competition for new clients? Or how about more competition to get the business of the clients you already have?

I've posted an article on my blog here on my Ad Gabber page about all of this (it's not on my external Ad Agency Survival Guide blog yet). I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks.

I'm going to reverse the question and ask, do you think clients are ready for social media?
I (possibly we) have no problem presenting ideas that work in social platforms, but how can you make or help make clients confident in testing un-"tested" waters.
I guess thats what happens when your Media Partner is in the same boat as the client / business partner?

I also think it could be that I'm an Art Director / interactive designer that would love some insight on similar experiences or opinions on how to pursue and develop those types of idea's.
Great question. As I said in the article, they are interested - at least in the Ad Age survey they were. I agree clients are scared of un-tested waters--but I think if you look around, you can find enough examples where the waters have been tested. As Forrester Research is my main go-to on this, I"ll reference the examples set forth in Groundswell.

Thanks for the comment!
F'n great! Smart, but its basically telling me I need to move on, or drink away the pain.
Great work though I love the whole package, reading it slowly so I'm like halfway through.

thx, not quite related to the above subject.. jk
Excellent new biz piece...I bet you get a lot of prospect feedback on that. Very relevant.

Thanks for your comment.
