Why are the pictures at the bottom of the homepage borderline NSFW?

Is it generally acceptable at ad agencies to have semi-nude pictures of women on your desktop? Seriously; I've never worked at an agency, but by the looks of the pictures at the bottom of the homepage over the past few weeks, I'd say it's a Yes.

Also, please don't think this is a prude post. Love the girlie pics as much as the next, but not without warning (even Fark uses a NSFW label).

Am I the only one who thinks this isn't necessarily a good thing, or should I just shut up and tow the agency-wannabe line?

I wish the world would stop with its fascination of the almighty nipple. That one little teeny tiny lump of flesh has caused such an UPROAR in the world of online businesses. The real irony is that you can plaster every building and web page with images of a man's set of moobs....but if there is just the tiniest amount of estrogen...Here come the Lawyers....with Chris Hanson in tow.
dan - those images auto rollup as members add them to their galleries. you prob knew that so sorry if stating the obvious.
I figured that Gabber is in the same spirit as AdRants, a fair amount of content that would offend the more PC groups such as the HR department. Crossing a dry trade rag with a supermarket tabloid, making it more fun to read?
Thanks for the replies guys, and Miles, I was aware. It just seemed to happen every time I visited. Not necessarily a bad thing; just surprising.

"Crossing a dry trade rag with a supermarket tabloid"

That's gold baby!
Well, Dave, it appears the site is now infested with very SFW images of...puppies.
Hi Dan:

My take is that creative people tend to have a dominant Id, rather than a controlling ego or super ego. The Id is home to ones sexual impulses, at least according to my good friend Sigmund.

Have you ever seen the movie, “Amadeus”?

Interesting question.

Steve
Damn, who covered up the chicks with puppies?

Wait, what was the question?
