Looking for an old article, "How to improve an ad to death".

Any one remember a very funny piece about improving a classic Volkswagen ad. It was hilarious. Started out with the ad headline LEMON. The ad was then destroyed by the typical changes and corrections we all experience. A horse was added to show breeding, a US flag to hide the German problem and every dealer in the state was included. I would love to find a copy.

Thank you. I gave this to my boss a long time ago and he totally thought the piece was showing good ways to improve an ad and that I should incorporate the ideas into my work. I left.

It's genius. I hand it out to my classes and they can't even believe that ads every looked like the "after." Ah, young minds.
