Interests
Creative training, education, teaching, management, and parenting. Oh, and International, cross-cultural advertising.
About Me
Hi there, I'm Steve McNamara, Creative Director at AdCracker.com.
http://www.adcracker.com/index.htm

I've been a Creative Director / Copywriter at several multinational ad agencies: JWT, BBDO, Rapp-Collins International. And once on the client side at Capital One.

The advertising business has taken me around the world, from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, New York, Jakarta then San Diego.

Over the years I've worked with 27 outrageously talented Earthlings on campaigns for
Ford,
Citibank,
Microsoft,
Rolex,
NBC,
Shell,
IBM,
Motorola,
HongKong Telecom,
Allianz,
Capital One and many other companies with cool offices and beautiful receptionists.*

In one sentence: I've created, pitched and sold hundreds of millions of dollars worth of advertising ideas.

That's hundreds of millions of dollars of ideas expressed in TV commercials, print, and digital media. Ideas that build brands. Ideas that drive sales.

These days I share what I've learned, and what I continue to learn, at AdCracker.com.

AdCracker.com has gigs of goodies to help you create advertising ideas. For example:

- The Creative Brief section includes sample creative briefs, templates, plus an instructional slide show and video.
http://www.adcracker.com/brief/Creative_Brief.htm

- AdCracker's top 100 Advertising Ideas features a current collection of the best brand and direct response ads in digital, traditional and unconventional media.
http://www.adcracker.com/advertising/Advertising_Ideas.htm

- There's a superb collection of Advertising Techniques to help you attract attention, engage minds, trigger emotion, and influence behavior with your ads.
http://www.adcracker.com/techniques/Advertising_Techniques.htm

> AdCracker publishes the Creative Director and Creative Manager multimedia CD sets.
Both will assist you through the creative process, from writing creative briefs to crafting strategic branding, positioning and direct response communications.

> Check them out if you face the same daily challenges I've faced - creating fresh campaign concepts, under deadline, that meet the standards of an international advertising agency.

* Or sometimes beautiful offices and cool receptionists, if you know what I mean.

Hi Steve

I've been trying to buy a CD from Adcracker, with no luck. My bank rejected the payment in error and have assured me they will let the next online payment through.

Tika emailed to say she would try to manually process the payment again the next day and let me know. That was a few days ago. I have emailed your staff several times but gotten no reply.

I also made the online purchase a 2nd time but have had no confirmation or email from your staff.

Please would you speak to Tika etc for me so we can get this sorted out?

Thanks

Nikki

Hi Steve, Thank you for the invite to join. I just did. I don't know your cousin Fred, looks like I should though! In his town, I freelance for the investment management companies and haven't been active with the OC Ad Club in decades, well, since I got married and my wife bought me a short lease. Thank you again, John
