Rhonda,
There are only a few creative agencies here in LA that do outstanding work. I've also worked in San Francisco where you'll find most of the best creative shops on the west coast. New York is more of a marketing driven agency city and very professional. Big accounts with heavy breathers and layers of management on both the agency and the client side. The reason I left NY. It's much harder to land the big accounts here in LA but many opportunities to work with smaller companies. Goodby, Berlin, Silverstein advised encouraged to open my own agency many years ago. They told me there is always a need for good creative.

It's interesting you started in NYC and landed in LA. What do you feel is the biggest difference in the business between NY and LA? I was going to moved to LA. I walked from Santa Monica to Beverly Hills. Unheard of in LA I know, but it's the only way I can really feel a place. I interviewed people on the way, and decided it wasn't the place for me at the time.
