Position: Assistant Director of Marketing

Position Responsibilities: I help scientists prevent and cure cancer by making sure they know about AACR scientific meetings where they can share their research; AACR awards and grants to fund their research and reward them for their contribution to cancer research; and AACR journals where they can publish the results of their research.

I work to spread the word of the AACR among the public, cancer survivors and advocates, and our elected officials through e-newsletters, advertising and the creation and distribution of collateral materials that describe the mission and accomplishments of the AACR and our Foundation.

I aim to create a cost effective marketing machine. While I direct the marketing of 17 conferences a year, managing a $1.5 million budget, I seek to expand our reach and spend each dollar in the most efficient manner. In one year we decreased the marketing cost per paid meeting attendee by 30%.
