Work History
• First venture into design was making my own report card in 9th grade. Got caught.
• My mom punished me by making me go work for her at the long island ad agency she managed
• I learned how to make ads from a guy who wound up one day winning a Grand Prix at Cannes
• He was my mentor. He showed me what to do.
• I skipped college and after a few years working on Long Island I got my first big break at BBDO
• I stayed there for 2 years and went to Ammirati Puris Lintas which is now Lowe, a division of InterOmniWPPublic
• After a brief stint as the first art director at the Gardner-Nelson project I worked at the Blum Group (now Blue Elephant).
• I tried starting my own agency but all the dot coms who hired me went out of business
• So I joined Brand Buzz for a bit
• Then the economy tanked and I fled for Massachusetts, where I worked at Winstanley Associates as a senior art director.
• They didn't like me and my New York ways too much so I came back here to freelance.
• Trying to network, I started Adholes.com. Oops!
• Spend 5 years at Escalate, an experiential marketing agency working as the creative director on Coke Zero, Haier, Samsung, Royal Caribbean and many other large brands.
• Founded Half Fiction in 2009

Hey Marc

I checked out escalatenow.com. Your work is impressive. What has been your favorite project that you have worked on so far?

Take care

Thanks for the comment, Marc. I'll be intrigued to see if all the attention he's gotten from his cartoon and viral campaign makes a difference in November. Could be an interesting case study in marketing.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your question about instant composing. It is an interactive way of composing. Together with my clients I compose in an interactive way in a short time music for commercials, websites and games. We start discussing the effect the music should have. Then I start building the music. At each step, the customer can say whether he likes it or not. The result: effective music in a very short time. A big advantage is that you the customer can influence the composing proces. Composing isn't a black box anymore with its sometimes unpleasant surprises. And I can even do it via Skype! On my website www.woutersiteur.nl you can listen to some of my music. It is only in Dutch, but when you click on audio showreel or video showreel, the music is international ;)

Does this anser your question?

Musical regards,

Wouter Siteur

Just wondering- It's been several months since I sent you guys my money and entries for the Speckies. Is this ever going to happen or do I have to go break your kneecaps?
