Forgive me father, it has been 48 days since my last confession, er, I mean blog. Oh how I envy those bloggers who live roller coaster lives that allow for them to consistently come up with witty prose every day or so (some a few times a day). Of course there are the bloggers who feel the need to write each day about what they had for breakfast or some other type of drivel for whoever's reading pleasure. I suppose the somewhat episodic tidbits from some of the folks who open their lives up on the internet are interesting to others, but to me it has the entertainment value of watching cheese ripen.
As each day passes by and I think to myself, I should write something because:
a: It's therapeutic
b: somebody somewhere may benefit from it
c: It's a darn good way to procrastinate from doing the things you really are supposed to do
So the question is "DO I just write, even though I may not have much to say?" Should I mention I had food poisoning and got really sick or that I performed voice for 4 videogames and 3 commercials this past month?" Is anyone interested that my dog learned 4 commands in Spanish? Would it interest anyone that there are 8 Tongan masons in my backyard putting up a retaining wall? SHould I discuss that I worte and produced 4 very mundane radio spots that may or may not sell anything, but were loved by the client and yet will never go on my reel nor get entered into any competition?
If I don't write, please understand it's not for lack of wanting to, but simply becuase in my very own little way, I am trying to cut down on clogging the Internet bandwidth. If each of us wrote one sentence less per week, there would be no need for war and the price of gas would be $1.83 per gallon.
Ahhhh, it just dawned on me that next week, I will be judging (along with many other envious and disturbed people) the Create Magazine Awards. Depending upon the extenx of the Non disclosure statement I have to sign, I might have quite an interesting blog for AdGabbers.
And while we're at it, is it just me or did the Summer go by really quickly?
