Car dealers are normally a year or two behind the times when it comes to anything Internet. When the Internet first started building steam, most dealers avoided it. When people started really use the Internet to promote their business, car dealers put up simple pages that had a picture and asked people to come by or call.
As retailers started really selling their products online, auto dealers used the Internet to entice people to come in, though this time they at least offered their inventories and a way to contact.
Now that dealerships are really starting to understand that they need the Internet to stay competitive, they have started asking about SEO, search engine marketing, blogging, and on the rare occasion, Web 2.0. Most outside of the car business have been working on these things for a couple of years at least. Better late than never, I guess.
That's my world. This being my first post, I thought I would put something in here that really spoke to what I was up against. Welcome!
