About Aiden Byrne
One of the most exciting young British chefs working in London today, Aiden Byrne’s career has matured in the company of numerous high-profile chefs, including Tom Aikens, Paul Rankin and David Adlard. (He won his first Michelin star in Norwich at Adlards Restaurant, at just 22 years of age.)
In the 18 months since he has taken over the kitchens at the Grill at the Dorchester, Aiden has combined a phenomenal passion for using Britain’s finest, seasonal ingredients with his distinctive cooking style. Ever mindful of the history and reputation of The Dorchester, Aiden has also managed to inject a youthful brio to the menus. The combinations of tastes, textures and visual impact create truly stunning dishes that are both pleasing to the palate and the eye.
Liverpool-born Aiden Byrne is passionate about British ingredients, and has just completed his first cookbook – Aiden Byrne: Made in Great Britain (to be published by New Holland in September 2008) – which will be a fitting showcase for his enthusiasm for great British cooking.
