Are you on twitter? what do you think? if you are on, how are you using it? if you are not, why not?
I have been on twitter for a solid month now @ebillme I like it, I find that its a good way to connect with folks other than that, not sure what to make of it. There are some good networking opportunities for sure. Like everything if you spend enough time, it will yield some results but is that time better invested somewhere else?
i enjoy twitter. i wrote a blog post about it - some guy explains the four stages everyone goes through. it's right on.
completely depends on your audience and how you intend to use it. i have about 100 people following me now, i probably know 5 of them personally. i use it to send blog post updates and to tell people about a good restaurant/bar/cafe/club/event that i've found. i also like to keep it personal - where i can put down a fleeting thought.
i went through all 4 stages - no joke. in the beginning, i though it was the biggest waste of time, ever. but then, i started getting into the different aspects - people responding to each other, asking people to go to dinner...even reading breaking news.
now if only the fail whale didn't show up all the time. it's cute but hella annoying.
So I just joined Twitter. I have no clue where this is going to lead or what in the world I will be saying.
Some of us here use it for work. Especially during trade shows, a good way for us to keep up with each other and where to meet. And where the parties are at.
at first i wasn't sure what to make of Twitter or how it would fit into my life... but having it integrated with Facebook has helped - it would be nice if it also integrated with MySpace so it could auto-update my status there as well.
i've seen others use it in more of a professional sense - as a mini blog or almost an rss feed for one's life. have you checked out twiddeo? just an example of a way the application be expanded.
Thanks for the repy Michelle, i connected twitter to my facebook but i feel that their use is completely different, i find facebook is limited to friends in its use at least for me.
Thanks for the twiddeo tip, pretty cool, never heard of it before. looks neat.
Been on it for a while. For as many useful links you discover, you also discover rantings about nothing. You can get more out of it though by also looking for stuff or something someone replied to you on with their search feature. It’s hard otherwise because so many people update that stuff you might be interested in gets knocked off the bottom of the page without knowing about it.
you have strong opinions with no back-up. i don't appreciate how you just go around and act condescendingly to others. appreciate and respect other people's opinions. the last person i would ever want to work with would be someone who's not only degrading but patronizing.
