I was interested more in others' reaction to his legacy (or otherwise). I never worked with him,but I was shooting in London and also " coincided with a period in which the advertising industry was beginning to place less emphasis on copy in favour of art direction"(to quote the article).
It was an interesting time in some senses.I was influenced by and I cut my teeth, working on what then condered cutting edge 'surreal'/special effects advertising imagery which followed/coincided with the Benson & Hedges work from CDP.
My own reaction to his passing is pretty limited and related more to whether 'the era that was then' is over, or whether we are still doing the same old same old though the migration to new technology.
