About Me
I conceive and implement national and international programs in virtually every business segment (as varied as weapon systems, plant automation, academic institutions, coal gasification infrastructure, oilfield technologies, and computer chip substrates). I invent brand and corporate names, and (although usually more modest) continue to receive creative awards from the American Advertising Federation, the Business Marketing Association and the One Show. I'm rated "user-friendly." Motto: Beer is Good.

Ornaments for the Season...

For those who may have missed it in other spaces, I had a ball this year thanks to you. What Charles Dickens wrote in “A Christmas Carol” is as true for me as he’d have it for the story’s main character:

The "craft of copy" lives on...

In a separate section, Sunil Shibad asks in his usual, thoughtful way, “Is the craft of copy dead?” I suggest that the answer is “no.” Long-format copy continues to dominate the direct mail field in any case, pioneered by people like John Caples here in the States. Yet for billboards (or do you say “hoardings” where you come from?) a six-word headline is the max that can be read at driving speed.

Thanks for accepting us in your network. Even though I am not an advertising company, I do a lot of work for local ad companies here. I have a small team of artists that work along with me and we are tryiing to get our little start-up business into a position where we can work it only.
We have been in business for 1 year and one month now. During that time, we have worked on 3 feature films doing post-production vsfx; 17 independent movies doing everything from pre-production to post-production; 15 local television commercials from concept to completion; graphic design for several businesses; web site development for several businesses; and are now involved with putting together Louisiana's First Film Effects and Animation Revival (FEAR In New Orleans) a convention styled festival with CG and animation workshops from top firms including Side Effects Software (sidefx.com)!

I look to network with people and businesses that want to take their visual communications to the next level. Just a little LSD added to your ideas can expand the perception that your audience has. We use computer graphics with the love of an artist and the skills of a computer scientist. Please check out our website at www.lucidsfx.com & our festival website at www.fearinneworleans.com

Have a great time and I look forward to hearing more from you! You seem very insightful from what I have read on your page!

Richard - Thanks for the comment. I find Tequila is more effective than ale at combating the stresses of running a start-up company.

Your resume is impressive - I'd like to run our concept by you and get your advice/ opinion. Currently we are seeking Series B funding - know anyone we can present to?

Cheers!

Thanks for the note, JS: perhaps there's a possible product combination which enables area munitions to deploy shampoo? (Actually, such technology is available.) Then every combatant would at least benefit from clean, glossy hair during a close action.
