Sarah Palin ‎

I was not surprised to choose Sarah Palin as republican Vice President Candidate, but ‎deeply chocked by different rapid reactions on the subject. Such reactions might be ‎acceptable if happened in the third world where the only job for women is cooking/baby ‎making. ‎ The shame in Sarah's case, she is '40-something candidate with four years in major office ‎and no significant foreign policy experience was not ready to be president'. (NYT- PETER ‎BAKER). No body had the courage to admit that th… Continue

Hundreds of Thousands face job loss ‎

Under this title, Ashley Seager had written an article in the Guardian on Monday July 21 ‎‎2008 indicating that high interest rates of British Banks will bring more recession to local ‎economy, which helps Hundreds of Thousands face job loss. Here is the link to the article: ‎ http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2008/jul/21/inflation.economicgrowth2 ‎ I agree with the writer that job loss is "the tip of the iceberg", but do not think reducing ‎interest rates or tax cuttings are enough to recover… Continue

Lamentation

Has Hillary failed in the recent election race just because she is only a woman? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121269958227749853.html?mod=djemWMP If this is the only reason, I think, the wild battle over the history for 'EQUALITY' has had zero results yet at least in USA! As in France, Segolene Royal had reached the final race and came next to Sarkozy with slight difference. Just wonder, if McCain wins the Nov race; is it only a problem of Racialism? I think Democrats has made a big mistak… Continue

Society ‎

Let us compare our current lifestyle with that before 100/1000 years. Are there ‎noticeable changes? Does the progress in our lifestyle have made our life ‎happier than before? My view, the history is only a record of shame. It very ‎often contains dreadful aspects of human life as wars and disasters. ‎ Yes, we have by now richer knowledge bases and lots of money in hands than ‎before. This had made our life more difficult, while we all expected to make it ‎easier. ‎ Here is a brief summary of… Continue
