I've noticed in television commercials that the music is usually a cover or the original song from the 70's, more specifically Rhythm & Blues music. What happened to the jingles? Did I miss something? I'm curious as to how this has affected the jingle industry. Since I am a baby boomer, I do enjoy the music from that time period, but what happened to the jingles?
