Yes, it’ s not unusual for planning departments to be quite small! I think the bigger agencies in London and NY are the only exceptions. Trade resources can be fairly limited as well; we have the Account Planning Group which holds workshops and lectures in London, but that’s about it. One of the best sessions recently included the winners of the 2007 APG Planning Awards explaining the thinking behind their winning papers. If you can recommend any planning organisations/websites/jobsites etc. in the States, I’d love to hear about them. Good luck with building your planning department – it sounds like a very exciting time at PJA! Sarah
